Job Description:We have been recently engaged with our Fortune 150 Specialty Foods Manufacturer client to identify a top performing Industrial Engineer/OPEX for their rapidly expanding plant in the Napa Valley, CA area. Embracing and Training Operational Excellence ( 200+ non-union employees) , Utilizing Lean Six Sigma to drive for world class results in their new capital expansion of highly automated manufacturing lines and helping to growing plant by 50% are all part of this outstanding opportunity The Industrial Engineer provides plant manufacturing with support in the areas of line speed calculations and reporting, throughput evaluation, capacity analysis, and downtime evaluation. As part of the Business Excellence/CI department, the Industrial Engineer also supports the plant with LSS/Black Belt expertise, projects and training. * Monitoring and reporting metrics for all plant production areas. * Developing and maintaining annual plant line speed and material loss rates. * Actively supporting the site Business Excellence effort. * Observing, analyzing, and supporting operations leading to business process improvement recommendations. * Coaching / mentoring Green Belt teams on the proper application of Lean Six Sigma tools. * Facilitating the generation of project charters with internal customers. * Estimates and coordinates resources needed (materials, budget, time and people) to accomplish assigned individual tasks, e.g. coordinates work with technicians and associate engineers; prepares contingency plans and budget for assignments. Participates in economic analysis and feasibility studies related to project alternatives.( PROBLEM SOLVING/INNOVATION) * Providing Capital and RCE support for those projects which affect material loss, labor increases or reduction, and/or throughput changes. * Facilitates and drives OEE Improvement Team Requirements. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence - necessary to understand plant operations. * Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Required - necessary to coach / mentor Green Belt teams. * Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards FDA/ GMP. * 2+ years' experience high speed packaging processes/ manufacturing at the plant level ideal. * Possess good communication, leadership, problem solving, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
