This team is responsible for introducing new application enhancements that continually improve the performance of our systems globally.How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?Day-today, our Support Engineers help keep our ecommerce platforms reliable. Our Worldwide Payment Gateway (WPG) and our High Capacity Gateway (HCG) are the backbone of our ecommerce business. You'll make sure each remains stable and help to identify and implement opportunities for continual improvement, using statistics and reports gathered following production events. You'll work in an Agile way, making use of the ITIL framework to ensure maintenance of the production environment. You'll regularly review incident queries and using statistics and reports gathered following production events, identify improvements and enhancements that can be made to working practice.What will make you the ideal candidate?To be successful in this role you will likely have had prior experience in an application or production support environment. A proven track record of delivering reliable and stable fixes will also be key. We would like you to have experience of object orientated development -preferably Java or C# with relational databases including database design. You will have a coding background in .net and back end experience in SQL. As well as having operational experience of Unix and Windows server commands, basic scripting experience will be helpful.
