General Summary: The Food Servers are responsible for setting and clearing table, delivering and serving food to residents and guests from the kitchen in a timely, efficient, friendly fashion and performing various tasks and side work. Essential Job Duties: Ensure that all residents and guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times Make sure that all tables are set according to reservations Attend dinner meetings and review server station assignments Take meal orders, clear dishes and reset tables Complete assigned side-work Other duties as assigned by management Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Skills: Must have prior work experience working in Food Service; be sensitive to the needs of older adults. Knowledge: Some knowledge of food and wine is helpful, but not required. Ability: To read, write and communicate in English, be able to coordinate multiple tasks. Must be 18 or older Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Standing and walking for extended periods of time, up to three hours at a time Frequent repetitive hand movements, lifting of weights up to 25-35 lbs.
