Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Accounting & Finance Manager will communicate data critical to the company's finances directly to the CEO. The Manager develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control by performing technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. This person will be responsible for day to day financial planning and analysis, headcount reporting/ reconciliations, forecasting, and budgeting. The manager will need to study the company's accounting cycle, processes and procedures and develop concise reports of financial data for the CEO to make key financial decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding and experience with accounting and finance for small business, Microsoft Excel skills, data manipulation and aggregated data experience, financial modeling skills, and a strong ability to communicate financial information.Responsibilities and DutiesAnalyzing current and past financial data;Preparing financial reports and conducting comprehensive analyses with written summaries to management;Looking at current financial data and identifying trends and qualitative data;Developing long term financial plans based on strategic goals alongside CEO;Overseeing day-to-day processing of accounting cycle of company by managing the accounting staffPreparing and updating overhead, budget, profitability and forecasting reports;Improving and implementing accounting procedures and practices for efficiency and improved financial growthBeing accountable for the coordination, compilation and distribution of financial data;Develop useful accounting metrics to analyze profitability of each client.Providing recommendations and strategies for process efficiencies;Projecting cost accounting;Overhead rate calculations;Establishing general & administrative rates and individual staff costs.Qualifications and SkillsComplete understanding of accounting and financial analysis principles, concepts, practices, and standards; Highly developed knowledge of finance theories such as present values theory/ cash flow analyses, overhead calculations and accounting principles; advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel); proficiency with Apple Computers and software; ability to produce reports/graphs/charts/tables in Word, Excel and PowerPoint within tight deadlines; Ability to formulate finance study designs and prepare and conduct professional presentations; Ability to prioritize multiple task at the same time; strong organizational skills along with effective time management skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; customer focused and team oriented; high integrity and honesty; ability to set and manage priorities; self-starter; ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.
