This role will be responsible for managing the Food Service program including: employee meals, break rooms, and catering events in our Palo Alto location and any off site events involving culinary needs. Some of the specifics are:Assisting the food team in maintaining our food program. Acting in astrategic manner, innovating, implementing/working with the Uber Food Team and our partners in completing projects.Overseeing the day to day operations of foodservice, snacks & vending, and the catering program. Ensuring quality, consistency, and innovation.Operations Managing the vendors who will be running our food service program.Safety and documentation Ensuring that our Food Service program meets the highest standard of cleanliness and regulations.Being an aggressive self motivator. This role will be based at our Palo Alto site reporting to the HQ Food Program Manager - Culinary. WHAT YOU LL DOEnsure that our food program is great, hits budget requirements and is appreciated by everyone.Be a positive influence on hiring and retention of all employees and contractors.Develop and manage a good working relationship with our vendor/partners.Manage and oversee all calendars are operating efficiently. Ensuring all catering & events are accurately up to date.Be the On-Site support/Main Point of Contact, for all catering & large/important events.Acts as the liaison between the client and operations departments, resolving any issues or problems that arise before, during, or after the event.Establish effective relationships within the teams, key stakeholders, and department leads.Data track all cost, spend rate, and forecasting.Get involved in all other facets of employee life at Uber; wellness, events, Uberversity, etc.Strategically elevating the program to achieve goals and keeping our folks efficient and happy. WHAT WE RE LOOKING FOR5+ years of experience in a food programs.3+ years of running corporate cafeteria programs, including global locations.Energetic individual who wants to develop new systems and constantly elevating the experience.A team oriented leader. You will be interfacing with all level of Uber employees, partners and designers. You are the key person to make sure we get and make great food, at a great value, that people love.High emphasis on flexibility of work schedule as this will vary accordingly to business needs.Leadership and people management skills, internal as well as vendor and partner.A passion for Uber!Someone with the ability to simultaneously manage projects in excess of 20M USD.
