This Aircraft Electrician position is located in the Executive Mission Helicopter Program, Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) in Jacksonville, FL. Deadline to Apply: 9/2/16 Incumbent works at the journeyman level performing the full range of the Aircraft Electrician duties, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrates and installs electrical systems, equipment and accessories used in the Executive Mission helicopter (i.e. H-60 and/or H-3 platform). YANKEE WHITE: This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret security clearance based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), and favorably adjudicated and approved for Presidential Support Duty (PSD) in accordance with DoD Directive 5210.55 (Access to Presidential Support Facilities-Special Access Program, Yankee White). Additionally, the selectee(s) shall be approved for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). DUTIES - Troubleshoot complex aircraft electrical systems. - Calibrate aircraft electrical systems, components and accessories. - Test aircraft electrical power control systems. - Replace defective electrical components of aircraft electrical systems. Travel Required OCCASIONAL TRAVEL, UP TO 10%, MAY BE REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE MISSION. KEY REQUIREMENTS: You must be a US Citizen. Males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. Selectee must be determined suitable for federal employment. Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to perform limited work as an Aircraft Electrician at an Intermediate level maintenance facility with an aircraft in operational flight status. I have assisted in the performance of routine repair and modification and ability to troubleshoot aircraft electrical systems. I have prepared the necessary equipment needed to test aircraft electrical systems. I have worked with the common tools to perform basic aircraft electrical repairs.
