Were looking to hire a finance leader who can help lead accounting, finance and operations at Buffer. What youll do Youll help hone Buffers financial models ( T4M , Pro-Forma, Budget Plan) as well as lead the finance team, acting as a relay of internal information for all things financial. Youll help us to act fast in communicating with external partners (legal, accounting, tax accounting, immigration) and connect with various stakeholders within Buffer. In addition, youll be a resource for the entire team on all financial decisions. Youll work within our finance and operations team and closely with Buffers COO, collaborating through tools like Slack, Zoom, email and Discourse. Youll share your ideas and thoughts to create an accurate and transparent modeling of where we are and where were headed in terms of finance. Here are some areas where youll have ownership: All compliance topics (legal, accounting, taxes) Payroll and benefits Budgeting All spending In-house accounting and month-to-month housekeeping Valuation (409a) and options granting (eShares) Operations (onboarding, hiring costs forecasting, retreat planning) Mergers and acquisitions and fundraising (when/if needed) Senior management and team advice on all things finance Working at Buffer is collaborative and positive thanks to our core values. Who Were Looking For Were looking for someone who has deep, proactive experience with accounting, finance and operations.
